Manager Position

The successful candidate will get to join a dynamic practice who is currently one of the largest mid-tier firms in Munster, will gain extensive experience in all areas of the profession with excellent chances of progression.
To be eligible for this role you must:

  • Be ACA/CPA/ACCA qualified
  • Have a broad range of experience across the areas of accountancy, audit & tax. Experience in consultancy & corporate finance is
            also preferable although not essential
  • Be pro-active, able to deliver to tight deadlines and within budget
  • Illustrate excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Possess good team working skills and be a good team leader
  • Capable of working on their own initiative and report directly to partner level.
  • Have experience as a team led and or training others

Bookkeeper – Part Time

We are keen to hear from candidates who are looking for the opportunity to work in one of Corks leading professional practices, with the following strengths:

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • A key requirement of the position is to have outstanding organisational skills and the
  • Ability to prioritise according to importance and urgency while working to tight deadlines.
  • Payroll experience desirable but not essential
  • Excellent motivation, commitment and enthusiasm, good time management skills

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Working with the accounts department on bookkeeping tasks
  • Reconciling bank accounts and creditors statements
  • Processing revenue returns
  • Working with various accounting software
  • Debtor and creditor ledgers
  • Reviewing purchasing and sales invoices
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts to manager review Level
  • Developing and maintaining relevant spreadsheets
  • Maintenance of ongoing bookkeeping services for a portfolio of clients across all industry sectors in a fast paced environment
  • Development and support of client relationships
  • Preparing tax returns including Income tax, VAT, RCT, Payroll, VIES Intrastat etc.
  • Dealing with client and Revenue queries

The Person:

  • Must have accounting experience gained in a small/medium practice – this is non-negotiable
  • Fluent English with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable dealing with clients directly
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised and ability to manage and meet all deadlines
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work in a team environment and support team colleagues
  • Excellent skills in the use of accounts & office software, such as, ,Thesaurus, Sage, Big red book and ROS.
  • Proficiency in MS Office especially Excel and Word.
